We lost Suki-pi, one of our oldest mice. Not to long ago. We were all very sad to find her on her side and dead in the cage that day.
Today, we will finally be able to bury her because the ground has defrosted. She’d been sitting under the porch in a box in the cold to keep her ready for her burial.
Just the other day Kat and Sisi’s friends texted that they had a baby mouse and no idea what to do with it because their lizard did not eat it like intended.
I took care of the baby for two days, today… during my nap and it’s nap.. it passed on. 🙁 I am sad that we lost little baby Wiggles… but the baby was so newborn it still had a cord stump! I’ve never cared for a baby mouse so small before. *sigh*
Not all my news is sad lately, though I do have another piece of sad news.
Xiki, my beautiful darling sweet long haired mouse has Pneumonia and has a very slim chance of making it. Still the vet made me up some medicine that I give him twice a day and we’re going to do our best to keep him safe, get him healthy, and keep him alive.
In other notes, Lisi recently had Pneomonia as well, another round of the cold is going through allllll the kids, I have tonsillitis and so does Aussie.
We did have a few weeks of break from sickness but I am really getting tired of this season and all the hacking, snorting, nose dripping, post nasal drip and everything else that’s going on!!
Did I ever mention Kat is in a cast for breaking her elbow during skating about three weeks ago?
Probably not… life has been a whirlwind and I am having trouble keeping up and getting my poor little head straight! @_@
There is one good thing that has happened on top of everything else. Actually two!
Aussie got a job and has been there long enough to even get a first paycheck (woo! he gets his second next week!) AND I’ve finally dyed my hair blue again because I got super duper tired of the pink!
Tada!!
Hard to fully smile with how worn out I am lately, @_@
Alright, I’m off to go buy a small wooden box in preparation for Wiggles burial this afternoon. *sigh*
I hope everything is going well for you all!
