I am fortunate to review a lovely decal for my walls from the wonderful Dali Decals!
Dali Decals has all sorts of wonderful wall decals in the most amazing array of styles and designs you’ll be hard pressed to pick one super easily! I know I spent well over an hour just browsing the site until I found a decal that I wanted above all the other decals I’d look at. It was that hard of a choice!
In the end I chose the decal you can see below. It’s even in a shiny goldish color to match the hanging lamp in our doorway!
Since our house is split level, right inside the door is a set of stairs going down, and one going up. Then we have a hanging light that I wanted to match a decal with. I’m tired of a boring entry way that houses our shoes and the stairs. So this is what I picked.
How cute, right??! I absolutely love it and the way it is metallic and goes just perfectly with the light fixture. ^_^
This is the Paisley Swirls Flower wall decal and is only $35! This thing is MUCH bigger than it looks in the picture, measuring about 22″ wide by 39.5″ long! It’s hard to appreciate that in words, but in life it’s really perfect for where I wanted it.
Now… because I have textured walls I do want to mention that this was a little difficult for me to put on. Enough that I told the kids they reaaaaaaaallly needed to get away for me so that I could get this finished as working on over 3ft of space meant I didn’t really want to be stressed while attempting. I would rate this about a 2.5 on the 1 through 5 difficulty rating for me.
Then again I did put it up higher than I should have (so I was reaching above my head…) and the textured walls and all. The hardest parts were the small little wisps you see. I REALLY tried hard not to rip them. One sadly did end up ripped… but I just sorta pressed it close together.
Anyway, I would completely rate this a 9.5 out of 10 in the awesomeness scale! I love it and the metallic is just… perfect for me. I wasn’t expecting it to reflect light as well as it does.
A real quick note, I wasn’t expecting the owl at all. Isn’t that such a cute addition? Squee!!
Here is a picture from the top of the stairs, then you can see how much bigger it is then our shoe rack and the bit over my head it was. I probably should have had Aussie put it up! He’s so much taller than it would have been next to no issue for him. 😉
