Hi everyone, I hope you’re doing well. It’s been awhile since I’ve written here and for that I do apologize. It’s been a really rough year, and there hasn’t been a lot that I’ve managed to keep up on in the slightest. Appointments, I guess. Lots and lots of doctors appointments. I’m in some sort of providers office 5-8 times a week on average lately, and it’s really been wearing me out.
Sadly, for the first time since my blogs opening, I wont be doing a Holiday Gift Guide. It’s strange, not getting a bunch of packages and enjoying the hustle and bustle of the season. I only just started Christmas shopping, and usually I start it in September!
I hope everyone has been doing alright this year. It’s been rough, but we’ll pull through. Right?
I look forward to having more content to put up here soon. I want to post, I want to write, I want to try out new things and review them. It’s so much fun, and I greatly enjoy it.
Soon enough I hope to return to doing what I’m used to doing. Writing. Preferably at least once a week I can get a post up here for everyone! It’s been so many years of doing this and I know I’ve been slacking. Too many health problems for the entire household has really taken a toll on my energy levels. Which, with Fibromyalgia, I don’t often have a ton of.
The end of 2023 and first half of 2024 took a toll on us all. We lost Shadow in early December 2023. Creamy spent almost a week in the emergency vet for kidney and bladder problems they didn’t think he’d make it but he pulled through. From there we lost Freyja at the end of February 2024, Chicken in April, and Baby (a bird we had a short time) due to an accident in May. Needless to say emotions have been rough and seeing the light in the darkness has felt impossible at times.
I started a new hobby this year that takes a fair bit of time, but I enjoy it. It’s not something I’ll share here, as I want to keep that me and my usual me as separate entities.
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. May we all survive the coldest and shortest days and come out better on the other side as we enter 2025.
I hope to return with a Valentines Day gift guide! Let’s see how that one goes!
Love and blessings to everyone, stay warm, stay cozy, and I’ll write again soon
~Kisa
