Meghan Markle moved into Nottingham Cottage after her engagement to Prince Harry, and they were sent many good wishes, deliveries and had many guests wanting to come over to meet the newly engaged couple.
However, quite recently an Australian tabloid had picked up that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning for a baby in the New Year which may very well be true. But this tabloid also alleges to know their fertility doctor which may not be true considering that is only something that the couple would want to keep private- even if they had purposely gone public about their plans to conceive in the New Year. However, whether it is true or not, the information that was gathered is useful since it is helpful for couples who are looking to get pregnant in the nearer future. There are some excellent tips that have been provided.
Nutritionist suggests fertility foods
However, what seemed to have happened was that a London-based nutritionist named Melanie Brown who specializes in foods to boost fertility paid a visit to the couple in their new home recently.
Meghan is understandably concerned about being in the best shape for conception considering that she is turning 37 next year, and Melanie was at Nottingham Cottage for an hour making note of Meghan’s health history, taking her vitals and giving her and Harry a diet to stick to while trying to conceive. Meghan’s age is a concern but she is still young enough to conceive and carry a healthy and low-risk pregnancy to term. However, she is right to think seriously of conception due to her age and fertility.
Therefore, she was told to eat plenty of beans, nuts, seeds, leafy green vegetables, whole grains, and berries since they are rich in folic acid which is highly recommended to consume before consumption. Folic acid in the system pre-conception and during the early stages of pregnancy lowers the odds of serious neural tube defects in the unborn baby such as spinal bifida.
She was told to not consume red meat because it can increase cholesterol levels, which can impede ovulation if the levels become too high. However, because salmon and oysters are rich in Omega 3 and zinc, she was told to consume that as well as that also can help boost female fertility.
Also, citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, grapefruits are loaded with Vitamin C which is important to help strengthen the immune system and helps with tissue formation- and they are also another great source of folic acid is important to consume while trying to conceive as well as in pregnancy.
She was also told to avoid trans fats as that can impede fertility which is found in fast food, cake, pasty, potato. Eating too many simple carbs which are found in white bread, white rice, potatoes, white pasta and trans fat will affect insulin levels which can cause anovulation or irregular ovulation.
Prince Harry is told to consume more zinc as well to help with his sperm quality and count, and both must cut caffeine out of their diet completely.
Some women can have a limited amount of caffeine even while trying such as one cup of coffee a day, which will not affect fertility since the amount of caffeine is small. However, this nutritionist wanted them to cut the caffeine out entirely, likely because of Meghan’s age.
Meghan was also told to have two portions of full-fat dairy each day, as that can help with ovulation. In fact, for couples who are looking to conceive twins naturally are told that the prospective mom is to consume plenty of dairy fat. Dairy fat helps promote fertility hormones, as well as ovulation.
There was no information whether Meghan Markle is looking into conceiving twins, and that is not why she was told to increase her dairy fat intake. However, since she is over 35, it is a good idea to have some extra boosts in regards to ovulation stimulation and hormone regulation.
