Sisi has pretty difficult to handle hair, it has severe problems with tangling up all the darn time. So we try new things until we find something that works… which… doesn’t happen easily.
Acure Organics sent us their Moroccan Argan Oil + Argan Steam Cell shampoo, conditioner and leave in conditioner to try out. At first I wasn’t sure if it would do much, I’ve tried various brands of shampoos meant to help with hard to handle hair.. More so hair that has been bleached, dyed, bleached, bleached, dyed… you get the idea.
So my plan was to have Sisi try the shampoo and conditioner and see if it made it easier to get through her hair.
As you can see in the picture on the left here, she has a fair bit of tangles still left after her shower. She didn’t use the shower comb much, just shampoo and conditioner. After she was done we went ahead and tried to brush out her hair. Just to see…
Can we do it easier now than we could before??
Of course if she doesn’t wear braids to bed she’ll end up all tangled again, but it’s not the same horrible level of tangles. We use the Leave-in conditioner in the morning to combat any tangles, and she has less of them by the time she gets home from school than she used to. She has always been a bit of a ‘wild headed’ kiddo, and that’s only for the sake of her hair!
While I do like the ‘messy bed head’ look on her, I really don’t love tangles to be along with it. There’s a certain level of messy I can take, and tangled, dry, unhappy hair isn’t it!
I’ve used the shampoo and conditioner on myself a couple of times, and some of the argan oil you see in the little yellow bottle above. Mostly, I leave these products for Sisi, as she really needs the hair help.
Just this morning though I had to use the leave-in conditioner as Var had really bad tangles after ToTing yesterday and possibly sleeping like a crazy child. While he had some really bad bad tangles (over night, geez!) I was able to get through them just fine.
It seems we’ve finally found something that works well on Sisi and our search is over! Having a good shampoo and conditioner thanks to Acure Organics really makes a difference in how her hair is acting, leaving more time for her to enjoy herself and less time stuck brushing her hair!
What is your favorite shampoo and conditioner? Have you ever tried Argan oil products?

I don’t color my hair but it tangles so badly that I have to cut the tangles out at times. I’d love to try these products. I switch conditioners often.Right now I’m using Aussie. The Vo-5 salon series line also works well. I won some Argan oil and didn’t know what to do with it. Maybe I’ll mix a bit into my shampoo and conditioner.

Oh yikes!! Do you have curly hair or wavy hair??
I tried Aussie, Vo-5, and others. This one plus certain Tresseme ones work well!
