As someone who has roleplayed most of her life, I am super excited to share about the just-released movie Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves. It’s in theaters today and I am thrilled to get to share that with you all! I started roleplaying when I was 9, which means I started with D&D back in 1993. Yep, I just gave away my age and a bit of my geeky side too. I’ve played D&D, Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Call of Cthulhu, and a few more games over the years. Roleplaying and D&D especially have been a huge part of my life.
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Review Wire Media for Paramount Pictures and eOne by the way, but I am still excited about the movie. I love how much more known and accepted roleplaying and things like D&D have become. I love that even my local mall has a gaming shop where I can buy dice, books for a variety of roleplaying games, miniatures to paint, and so much more. I’m also happy that fantasy movies are becoming something I can see more often, more so when they’re ones related to things I’ve enjoyed for a very long time.
You can see the trailer for the movie here! I’ve gone ahead and imbedded it in the post incase you are interested in seeing of the movie piques your interest too.
Here’s a little about the movie: A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure… Rated PG-13
What a great movie to come out on my birth month! I haven’t gone and seen it just yet, since it’s just out today, but it looks so good that I am going as soon as I can. It looks much better than I could have even hoped for, especially after the Dungeons and Dragons movie that came out in 2000. I didn’t love that one too much I must admit.
Do you plan to see the movie? What is the last movie you saw in theaters?
