It’s no real secret that I enjoy games I can play quickly, and pause if I need to. On top of that, I still like games that are similar to ones that were pretty popular many years ago, old habits and likes die hard I suppose! So it’s no real surprise then that I’ve really enjoyed getting to spend a spare moment here and there playing fun little business, food, and money games lately. Among my usual lineup of solitaire, and mahjong. XD
One in particular I’ve been playing lately, and that’s because I am determined to make it through each level without making a single customer leave if I’m not fast enough… is Burger Shop!
By the time I was at this stage of the game I was a few levels in, this first picture is actually level 4/10. One thing I find particularly difficult if you have to put each topping on in the order they’re on the bun. From the bottom to the top, there’s no way to fix it, you have a time limit, and the customers seem to get less patient per level!
My initial run of the game I had no idea what I was doing at the start, because I didn’t read the instructions! I closed the game, went back and read what I had to do, and then had to try and keep everything in mind. I haven’t managed to get all the way through the game just yet without making any customers just walk away. Thankfully the customers just keep coming, as long as you don’t run out of time it seems. Actually I haven’t even made it fully through all 10 levels yet without needing to take a break, thankfully you can pause! Games that can pause are great, since I’m often having to do various things around the house and don’t often have the time to sit and play anything for a long stretch.
Level 5 added in sausages, so that added a different level of complexity for my brain, hahaha. I forgot to take a screen shot when I got to level 7, and then later level 8 another time that I played. I did remember to get 4 and 5 though!
One thing I forget to do sometimes is clicking the tray, which you have to click the tray and the bun before you can even make the burger. When there’s a lot of customers and I’m in a rush I have a tendency to get a bit frazzled. I love that I can pause and take a breather so I can calm my self down before I keep on going.
The website I found this game on has all sorts of games that can teach counting money, making change, do food business simulations (my favorite! lol), business simulation, and other fund games as well. I know that the money games would be fun to help kids learn as part of extra learning time or even while homeschooling. Had I known about these when I was homeschooling Risi, I think they would have been perfect.
Do you like games like Burger Shop and other restaurant shops? The site even has what seems to be an older version of Cooking Fever, which I used to play a lot on my computer. I don’t know if I still have it installed, but I loved playing it.
I want to hear from you all, what kinds of little quick web browser type games do you like to play. If any? Are there any you played as a kid that you might miss?
