If you’re like me, you might have a hard time with writing cards to people. I know they were a much bigger thing to do when I was a kid, but I still know people who do sent greeting cards. I’ve tried in the past, but I always just end up stuck on what to write without sounding like I’m just being generic or boring.
Thank goodness the internet exists because it allows me to look for places to get a good idea of what I can write in cards. Granted it cant really fix my problems with my penmanship, but it thankfully does help me find great ideas for what to put in a good luck card!
I know cards can be meaningful, and I am sure like me lots of people will keep their good luck cards well into the future where they can pull them out in a moment of need to read them. So finding ideas of what can really touch their hearts and get them through the moments they need luck on, is really a good idea if you ask me. Did you know you can find places that can do cards for you? So if you struggle with handwriting like me, that could be really helpful. I’ve never had the greatest handwriting, and with arthritis and fibromyalgia it’s not always easy for me to keep my handwriting neat for very long when I do manage to write something.
Granted I know there can be very short good luck messages, I feel like sometimes longer than a sentence would make the person I’m wishing luck feel better than something that could just be easily found printed on a generic greeting card. Which is why I like to try and find a way to really be personal when I’m writing a card to someone.
Other than by sending a good luck card, how do you like to wish people luck and have people wish you luck?
What kinds of things do you think are lucky? I know people have all sorts of things they believe will bring luck, or just are lucky if you find them. Things like 4 leaf clovers, rabbits feet, coins they found on the sidewalk, or things I can’t even think of just because they’re that deeply personal to them. I used to have a lucky rabbits foot when I was little, and even still as an adult when I see clovers I will stop and try and find a four leaf one to get some good luck! These days, I feel like I need a lot more luck than I have to make it through health problems and just general life stresses. Perhaps I should send a good luck card to myself? Hahah!
Perhaps I should try and get in the habit of sending cards out to people, it would be a nice way to connect and show people I care without just doing it while being here behind my computer. I’m somewhat shy though, and even without it just being a good luck card, I struggle with the right things to say when trying to talk directly to someone.
What would you say in a good luck card to someone going through personal and health struggles? I would love some good luck vibes myself!
