I received the following Pristine Wild Caught Salmon cat food free of charge from Chewy.com in exchange for my honest review.
Another day, another trail of cat food to see what I can do to make the lives of our furry family members better and more delicious! This time around we’ve got some wet food in pouches, which I tend to forget it a hassle every now and again. These ones came out of the pouch okay, if you used a spoon, but I tend to feel like I don’t get enough of the gravy and food out with pouches. Even if they do save space, they just take a little extra bit of effort, which if okay in the end for me, but I have to keep reminding Aussie of what to do when we get pouches.
I am so happy that the Pristine Wild Caught Salmon is not in weird flakes or an overly mooshy food, that made it much easier to remove the food from the pouches. Overall, the cats seemed to like the gravy more than the actual food?? I’m not even sure why this time, but certain cats tended to just lap up the gravy and leave around the morsels. Then the other cats did not want to eat just morsels, so… this food wasn’t a good fit in the long run. I was just kind of happy when using them was over. I didn’t want to throw them away, thankfully Frejya and Puuny liked them just fine. I think they’re just less picky than the rest of the cats.
The smell of the Pristine Wild Caught Salmon Recipe morsels was just fine, and the appearance wasn’t overly gross either. I think if maybe there was a bit more gravy and slightly smaller pieces of food, I could have seperated the pouches between two bowls and maybe would have had better luck with the cats eating it?
I can really only speculate. In the end, this isn’t one that’s a very good fit for our household, but maybe your cats are much less snobby than mine?
