It’s no secret that I love Chocolate. So the idea of Chocolate with Benefits like the ones from Good Day Chocolate seemed like a no brainer for me to try out.
These treats combine supplements with candy coated chocolate bits, for a wonderful mix of helpful and delicious. They currently offer 6 different varieties, and you can also try out a four pack as well. I was sent a four pack, and then an additional 2 boxes of each of the six types.
My four pack included the following Good Day Chocolate types- Sleep (includes Melatonin: 1mg per piece), Energy (Dark chocolate and Caffeine), Calm, and Turmeric. Turmeric is something I take in capsules as it helps with some of my pain and anxiety issues, I wanted to see how it’d be in candy though. On top of of course trying out the other varieties.
The Sleep and Calm ones help Lisi manage more restful nights. Which I’m really happy about to be honest. I haven’t personally tried the Energy one just yet. >.> Sorry.
I’ve tried almost all of the Good Day Chocolate varieties at this point, with the exception of calm which I’ve given mostly to kids to help with things like anxiety of calming down for the night, and Energy that I always forget I have until it’s 5PM and I worry it’s too late to try it.
Vitamin D3 I thought was very good but Risi does not seem to agree, but I have to wonder if it’s just because it is dark chocolate. I think this is a delicious way to get Vitamin D3, however it takes half a box to get 4,000IU and I usually take more than that because my Vitamin D levels tend to be absolutely awful. One thing I will say is that I wish I could buy Good Day Chocolate in much larger quantities, a 12 pack is $36 and comes to 24 doses of 4,000IU. It’s 12 boxes of 2 doses each. That’s a little pricey for me in the long run. However, if you’re not insanely low on Vitamin D you could probably do just fine with 2 chocolates a day, meaning the 12-pack of boxes would last much longer.
I’d like to see a bulk size bag, save on packaging and preferably a lower price.
I usually take a fair bit of Turmeric a day when I do. Usually around 2000mg. I’m often stiff, in pain, and my anxiety and depression cause a lot of issues. On days I go out and do a lot (like a theme park or anything else where I will be taking a lot of strain), I found myself popping 800mg every 4-5 hours along with a tylenol. It helped, but I am trying to cut down on my tylenol intake because with everything else, I don’t need a bad liver.
These Good Day Chocolates, obviously, very much smell like Turmeric. Which I’ve actually not really tasted before, as I said I usually get them in capsules so I don’t really know the taste of Turmeric. Thankfully, it’s actually not all that bad at all.
I’m very glad it wasn’t just a bunch of powder in there! I mean it’s obviously Turmeric but not just some powder that it going to explode in my mouth when I bit it. I’d need about 2 boxes of these a day to get 1600mg of Turmeric. While I like them, they’re another one I would really like in bulk.
I do love that the colors on the candy shell of Good Day Chocolate pieces are from fruits and veggies, with fair-trade chocolate. If you can afford them, I would say go for it if it helps you take certain supplements and things, they taste good and I found that that work just like straight up supplements in capsules or pills, but without the awfulness of taking capsules or pills. Hey, I’d much rather chew up some yummy chocolates with benefits than deal with “yet another pill.” Wouldn’t you?
Which variety of these would you like to try?

Oh wow this is inventive! I would not mind trying a turmeric supplement dipped in chocolate cause it would definitely be more appealing to take.

I have been taking Turmeric supplements but this looks like an amazing way to get what I need from that to sleep. Who knew that you could eat some delicious chocolate that would in turn help with you falling asleep?! So awesome.

Turmeric chocolates? That is new for me and I want to try it. Good chocolates, especially the dark chocolates are good for the heart, and our diet.

I have been taking turmeric, black pepper and ginger as an all-in-one capsule, twice a day, for a good month now. I can definitely say my skin is glowing for sure and the fine lines I have around my eyes look much better. My parents (who are in their 60s) have just started taking it for knee and hand arthritis.

These supplement-infused chocolates sound like a fantastic way to make taking vitamins and supplements more enjoyable. The use of natural ingredients, fair-trade chocolate, and functional benefits like Turmeric or Vitamin D make them appealing. Offering bulk packaging could definitely make them more cost-effective for regular use!
