So I was recently sent a pair of Hydrofeet Insoles to try out, and they’re the thing I knew I needed but didn’t know where to find before now!
I’ve had insoles in the past, various varieties and price points, but none that were so… strange at first. Most just only last a short time, or I need prescription strength ones made by a physical therapists office to help combat my flat feet and the way I put pressure when I walk.
First, here is a little about Hydrofeet in their own words.
Hydrofeet® are one of a kind insoles for men, women and kids. Their therapeutic characteristic is what makes this shoe insoles uniquely the best. Hydrofeet® insoles are made of FDA-approved, vegetable-based liquid glycerin inside a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) coating. Glycerin is an ingredient usually found in the food that we eat (e.g. cake icing) and cosmetics that we apply on our skin, including lipstick. On the other hand, TPU is commonly used in medical and sports equipment, and is one of the main ingredients of shoe soles. It is known for its durability and strength. According to the American Chemistry Council, TPU has the combined advantages of rubber and plastic.
So, I should have read the description a little better so I knew what I was getting myself into. When I first wore my Hydrofeet Insoles, I thought they were positively awful to feel! I felt like I was walking on blisters and it sort of just made things really awkward and like I didn’t know how to properly with without issues.
Funny enough, after that initial walking around in them I actually found them very enjoyable. I’ve still got them in my shoes, and hurt a lot less… I mean A TON less, and for someone like me, with all my knee, lower back, ankle, food, middle back pain issues. It’s pretty much a miracle that something that doesn’t need to be custom made can actually be SO beneficial!
I need to buy a new pair of shoes, pretty much ASAP, as the pair I have right now are falling apart and about four years old. But I can’t wait to see just how much better my pair of Hydrofeet Insoles feel while I wear them!
Since Hydrofeet offers pairs for children, men and women, I will be able to get pairs for the kids too. It will probably make walking for them easier since they’ve all sadly inherited my flat feet. The Hydrofeet brand also offers shoes, but I haven’t tried those of course. I would highly recommend the insoles though! which for a woman you can cut down on the lines up top to fit a variety of shoe sizes. 🙂
