Allianz Global Assistance is a leading travel insurance company that provides travelers with financial protection and 24/7 travel assistance.
I haven’t really mentioned it much, but if really at all as far as the blog goes. But I am taking Sisi and Kat down to Anaheim, CA in October so we can see the South Korean boy bang BIGBANG. We’re pretty insanely excited I’ve got to say!
When you’re going on a trip, sometimes things happen that you didn’t anticipate or you worry that things will happen that you don’t anticipate. That’s why when I heard about Allianz Global Assistance I was pretty excited on telling you all about them! Hey, we’re going on a trip and if something happens, I’d like to be prepared. Sometimes I over-prepare. Sometimes I under prepare! I don’t want that to be the case when I’ve got ‘non-refundable’ money already given to our plane tickets.
Allianz Global Assistance is a company that provides travel insurance and assistance worldwide! They have offices in 34 countries and they’re owned by Allianz, which is one of the world’s largest financial services companies.
Just in the US alone Allianz Global Assistance insures 18 Million customers a year!
The company offers Allianz Travel Insurance products that will refund a customer’s pre-paid travel deposits if they have to cancel a trip for a reason covered by their policy. The company’s Travel Assistance team can help travelers with medical emergencies, travel snafus and more. Learn more and find a policy at AllianzTravelInsurance.com
They offer a wide variety of things that are covered in each trip, and when I priced a travel insurance plan I was given three different plans and price points to choose from. You make an investment with your trip, some things aren’t refundable. I know our plane tickets aren’t refundable which is not good in case something happens. Allianz Global Assistance’s travel insurance plans can help in case something happens that make your plans suddenly not be possible.
If you’re going on an international or domestic trip, cruise or even just using a rental car Allianz Travel Insurance has ways to protect you and your investment in your travels.
Allianz Travel Insurance provides coverage for pre-paid, non-refundable trip expenses (up to the limits of the policy) should a trip be cancelled or interrupted for a reason covered by the customer’s insurance policy, and it protects a policy holder’s health in case of medical emergencies. Benefits can include (policy limitations can apply):
- Reimbursement of the non-refunded portion of travel investment if the trip is cancelled or interrupted for a covered reason
- 24-hour access to emergency medical referrals and travel assistance

Did you know that every year since 2009, Allianz Travel Insurance has conducted its Vacation Confidence Index Survey. This year’s survey found that more Americans will travel, but plan to spend less on their trips in 2015. This year’s survey suggests that consumers are eager to save money on their summer travel and will be looking for trips that offer the best possible value, as well as opportunities to utilize the sharing economy to save money.

Now that I’ve found out the benefits of travel insurance through Allianz Global Assistance, I don’t see why I would ever travel without it. I’d much rather be safe than sorry after all! ^_^
Have you ever gone on a trip before and used travel insurance? I know that the first time Aussie came to the states from Australia he ended up getting travel insurance. I don’t think he did the second time, or maybe he did and I just can’t remember. Still, travel insurance can make a huge difference in case of unforeseen circumstances and I wouldn’t want to be caught without it now that I understand the benefits.
