When it comes to finding gluten free bread products, it can be a pretty hard search. We’ve tried various things, and I’ve even gone so far as to try making gluten free bread at home! Still, sometimes you just want to pick something up quick and have a gluten free option at home or on the go. Canyon Bakehouse offers a variety of products that meets that need for us. Their lineup includes hamburger buns, hot dug buns, brownie bites, cinnamon raisin bread, bagels and more!

We were sent the following products to try:
7-Grain- I was surprised to find the texture of this bread so nice! I usually love normal gluten-full 7-grain bread delicious, and this one wasn’t disappointing to me at all! Bear liked it as well, which is good because she’s the one we’re having to watch Gluten on due to her Keratosis Pilaris. Which is a skin condition that is made worse with gluten for some people. Sisi seems to be one of those, as well as some tummy trouble too.
Cinnamon Raisin – None of us really like raisins too much. But we did at least give this one a try. Of all of us Aussie seemed to be okay with this the most. I love a Cinnamon bread that is a gluten-full type. But for having Raisins I would way that this bread from Canyon Bakehouse isn’t too bad at all! I’d love if they could make a cinnamon-swirl type bread, so I could use it for french toast! That would be fantastic.
Rosemary & Thyme Focaccia – Of us, only Aussie and I really liked this one. Not surewhy, maybe because the kids aren’t used to Rosemary? I loved this toasted with a little bit of butter. I was happy to eat this and it made a pretty nice little snack for me. Yeah, I like bread. What can I say? On the Canyon Bakehouse website, they say you can use this as a pizza crust. I’m kicking myself for not trying that, so I’m going to need to do so with my next bag!
Hamburger Buns – What’s a hamburger without a bun? Well for some people they don’t care, but others do. Bear is one of those who cares, and thankfully was able to enjoy hamburgers with no problem with these buns. They were soft, but not too much, texture wise pretty great! Canyon Bakehouse really did a great job with these hamburger buns and we highly recommend them if you’re wanting a gluten free option without just avoiding a bun altogether. I still skip the bun half the time, to avoid just having too many calories that are bread based. 😉
Over all we are all very pleased with what we tried from Canyon Bakehouse! I’ve had various different gluten free brands as I’ve mentioned, and I haven’t really find one I like so far the way we like these! Now that we know what we like, the search is over. 🙂
