Our bedroom I think might have been an addition to the house years ago. I don’t know for sure, but I know that it never has the same temperature as the rest of the house. It’s colder in the winter, and our gas forced air heat doesn’t do much, which means we have to resort to a secondary heater. Both of these cause the air in the room to become intensely dry.
Dry air in the winter, or really any time of the year, means that my throat and nose will be dry, stuffy and unhappy. It doesn’t matter how well I am feeling, it just… happens. I wanted something that wasn’t too obvious as a humidifier for the room. The kids aren’t picky, but… well.. I kind of am. >.>
The HC12B humidifier can cover 650 square feet, has an awesome demineralization cartridge that prevents lime scale and mineral buildup, operates up to 45 hours in a single tank fill, and has 8 adjustable mist settings. Oh… and… it’s remote control operated!
So I can easily change the mist settings without having to get into bed.
Overall I love the way the humidifier works, and I love that even if I am sick I am not suffering as miserably as I would have otherwise!
I suffered a cold recently, but didn’t suffer as long as I have when I didn’t have a humidifier in the room. Plus, I was able to rest more comfortably with the help of the cool mist. I wasn’t all dried out and fully miserable like I cold can make me. I didn’t need any cold meds I was so comfortable thanks to having cool mist in the room!
One of the cool functions of the humidifier is the musical tones. There is a tone when it turns on, sound when it turns off, and each of the eight settings offers a tone as well. It gets higher in pitch the higher the misting level is. I admit that at first I played with it more than I likely should have. Though thankfully with no ill effect! 😉
Of course you know me… I just NEEDED to take a video of this so I could show everyone how nice it is. 🙂
Oh right! I should mention that you can have this humidifier have three different lengths for the neck! I use the medium length in the bedroom, as I like how it looks and it keeps the things around it from getting wet better in my opinion.
I will admit that the light that indicate that it is one is pretty bright for me. So I usually just put something in front of it so it doesn’t keep me up at night. The sound doesn’t bother me (the sound of it running) even though I was admittedly a tiny bit worried about that in the beginning.
I love that this humidifier doesn’t continue to run and damage itself when it runs out of water. Instead, it stops running and turns the light from blue to red so that you know that you need to refill it.
On top of this, the Luma Comfort HC12B humidifier is filter free, so I don’t have to keep paying for replacement filters. I had a cool mist humidifier before that needed filters, and the cats kept knocking off the tank and destroying the filters! I was constantly picking up bits and I am so glad I don’t have to worry about that annoyance any longer!
I would highly recommend the Luma Comfort HC12B humidifier for your home! Cool mist, filter free, and long run time on a full tank make this humidifier the best I’ve ever used!
