Today’s Motivational Monday Quote:
One who fears failure limits his activities.
Failure is only the opportunity to more
intelligently begin again.
Henry Ford
Good morning all, Cid here with your Motivational Monday! It’s been a long and hectic week, with all the Halloween costumes and now a birthday coming up. I honestly don’t know what to do… I’ve never really had to take such a big part in planning a birthday party before this one! I’m nervous, and I’m honestly a bit scared of screwing it up or turning it into a bad memory for the kids or Kisa… but I can’t let that stop me.
This week’s quote is about fear of failure, and overcoming that fear. That’s my biggest fear, personally – Failure. It held me back for a very long time, and I still struggle with it constantly, but lately I’ve been doing a lot better with just being able to step over it. This quote is a good way to look at it, and it’s very true; letting fear hold you back, letting it stop you from trying, will definitely prevent you from succeeding. As long as you try, you could succeed. And, even if you fail, just try your best to learn from your mistakes, so you don’t make the same ones again!
The greatest inventions in the world didn’t happen instantly, and the greatest changes often took years to have noticeable effect. Anyone who gives up at the first sign of failure is only going to see the failure, and never going to see the rewards of effort or perseverance.
For now, just think about that: If you don’t try, you will never succeed. If you do fail, then learn why you failed, and don’t fail the same way again.
Later,
-C
