The Zike Z100 is recommended for Ages 5 – 8, but since Var is a shorter and smaller 9 year old. I knew this was going to be perfect for him! Better than his old little scooter, and something super cool to help him get his energy out!
disclaimer: we received the following product in order to facilitate this review, all opinions are my own unless otherwise specified.
The Z100 comes in three different colors; Red, Lime Green and Pink!
It can handle kiddos up to 150 lbs, so it’d be perfect for Lisi, Var or Bear to be honest! Even though Bear is 11, she’s short and weighs under 150lbs. 🙂
The Zike Z100 has a rugged steel frame, and aluminum alloy wheels, the tires are air filled. Thankfully we have a bike pump, as you need to inflate the tires to 45 psi before playing with it. The handles offer a textured grip, with reflectors on the pedals plus hand breaks.
The Zike helps strengthen your child’s body and helps enforce good posture. By having to stand up and use your legs one at a time to really get moving, the Zike Z100 offers a great workout!
I can’t wait to see how Var takes to it! I had Lisi try it out, and need to get pictures up of her doing so. But it’s hard to get to that with Var around. He likes to check on what I am doing when I am blogging, so surprising him can be really difficult at times!
Of course, now that Lisi has given one a try, she wants one for herself. I can’t say I blame her! Sadly, I am too heavy to ride any of the Zikes. 🙁 The max weight for the one that carries the heaviest weight is 200lbs, and I am beyond that right now. Bummer.
You know what? All of my kiddos are actually light weight enough to ride the Zike Z100! Even Kat is under 150lbs, she’s only 115!
You can check out the following video, that shows you a bit more about the Zike.
I can’t wait until I am small enough weight wise so I can get myself a Zike possibly!
