This evening I need to talk about a rather serious subject, and that subject just so happens to be the terrible business practices of the shopping site BundleCity.
Now, before the transaction I’m going to be talking about today. I’d never heard of Bundle City. It was actually Max (that’s his online nickname, he doesn’t want his real life name shown on here btw…) that showed me the site in the first place. He questioned if it was legit, as it had an item that he wished to purchase and have delivered to my house. Because it’s better to have packages delivered to the house of a stay at home mom than it is to your apartment when you’re not home and things have been stolen from you before when a delivery is left outside your door. >.>
I did some research, but didn’t really find anything one way or another good or bad about Bundle City. Hmm.. Interesting, so I told him to go ahead with the transaction in question.
On June 27th I placed the order to be delivered to my address. Never been an issue for any other company at all, even when using his card. I repeat, shipping something to me has never been an issue!
The order was for a very specific air purifier that he wanted. $75 was debited from his account (the cost of the item, shipping was said to be free.) I got a single email for the receipt, and then… nothing.
July 7th I contacted Bundle City via their live chat, Risi was up and I just didn’t want to risk trying to talk on the phone just then. The excuse was there was a ‘delay’ because of the different addresses, but that it showed finally as shipped and they’d contact me the next day with the tracking information.
July 8th went by without a single word, so this time another live chat was done. It went as followed:

02:17:14 PM [Max] I am trying to get the tracking number for Order Number 10****

02:17:37 PM [Moses] One moment please let me check it for you..
02:18:39 PM [Max] Okay, thank you.
02:19:49 PM [Moses] I shows your order was processed and suddently shows a note to be put in hold, I believe is because diffetent addresses,
02:20:30 PM [Max] Okay, I was told it was shipped. I haven’t been contacted about the address at all, you’ve taken my money and I’ve gotten nothing so far.
02:21:24 PM [Moses] I’m just looking at the information on your account, but if we can not ship the merchandise we will refund your order
02:21:36 PM [Max] Okay
02:23:06 PM [Moses] I sent a notice to our accountant Dept to fully refund your order
02:23:24 PM [Max] How long does it take?
02:25:25 PM [Moses] up to 24 hrs
02:26:25 PM [Max] Okay
Okay, so we decided to give it a few days to be refunded.
Well folks, here we stand on July 24th, and there has been absolutely no refund nor communication to date.
NONE.
This positively reeks and now we get to go ahead and deal with the bank since the company isn’t responding to emails, and live chat isn’t lending us much more than ‘we’ll contact our accounting department and get back to you.’ That’s all we get from phone calls too.
Whatever you do, DO NOT buy from Bundle City! No matter how awesome their prices may look, the likelihood that you’ll GET your item seems pretty much nil!
