I’ve never actually been to a prom, so I never got to experience the fun of picking out a prom dress. Though I have drooled over them from time to time, even though I am far too old to ever go to a prom!
It’s interesting to learn the history of things in all sorts of cultures, even our American culture! The following infographic explains the history of Prom Dresses. I love the looks from the 50’s, 80’s and 2000’s!
Which prom dress style do you prefer?

I’ve never been to a prom either and that’s something I’ve never dreamt of or regretted I haven’t experienced. There were are opportunities to wear a formal, cute dress. I like the infographics though and it was interesting to read how the prom dress evolved throughout the years.

My daughter was a bit too starlet for hers and had to wear a silk tank underneath it. It was very pretty though. Thank you for sharing this post!

I was an 80’s prom girl, I was truly decadent. I like the starlet design. Cannot wait to go looking for a dress with my daughter.
