This evening at 5:00 P.M. we (ex and I) took Kofi in for a check up after her near death experience on Tuesday.
She’s gained 2 grams!! YES!! 2 whole grams is a lot for a little mouse!
The vet was so impressed with my dedication to getting her back to snuff that they said “well looks like we know who to call for orphans!” and I told them.. well you have my number, if you have orphans that need care while they’re needing it. I’m more than happy to help.
As when they get orphaned animals they need help and well.. I love babies so… it just seems a natural thing to volunteer to help.
So Kofi is doing fantastic! Eating and drinking regularly again, no longer in the MICU but back in her cage.
In other news… poor Luna (also know as Lulu or Wuwu) has been injured by Koko and her sisters. 🙁 So she’s moved in with Kofi for a trial run. If they get along well enough they’ll stay cage mates. If they don’t get along well in the future (they’re doing GREAT right now) then Lulu will get her own cage and end up in the girls room.
I didn’t mean for it to get to this point, but we wont be increasing our numbers of mice that’s for sure!
Of all the girls I am surprised it’s not Ms. Beautiful who got her tail agro’d to be honest, she’s the smallest girl in the girls’ cage as current, so you’d suspect the runt would be the one to take damage. Nope.
Sips (Kofi) and Wu (Luna) appear to be doing great right now, they’ve sniffed each other and eaten together without any issues. I’ll monitor their behaviors towards each other and see how it goes though. Hopefully they continue to go along great, and our little Sip of Love will have a cage mate and be less lonely.
*sigh* that’s enough for now, I actually have to run off and get cat sand, bubble bath, and… one other thing I can’t really remember so I am praying it’s not ultra important to the survival of the household right now! *snort*
Ja matta ashita!
