I love dollar store crafts!
In fact, it was a dollar store crafts blog that got me into doing Shrinky Dinks again!
Actually, indeed it was this site/blog here actually named Dollar Store Crafts. So many ideas there, yet not enough time to try each and every one of them. Ahhh!
Of course I love more than just the stuff you can do with various things from the Dollar Store. I love the easy crafts they have for kids.
That way I can buy lots of random crafty things, and not be out too much at all. Four kids equals a LOT of craft supplies around here.
Like this one! You can’t really tell, but it’s a little wooden helicopter. That Lisi built, from a kit that came with all the pieces, the glue and instructions. This one is super neat because you’re able to wind the propeller blade, and due to the rubber-band and an attached pin it will spin once you’ve wound it up!
Of course I think her favorite part was getting to color it with my color sharpie set. I want to get a bigger one. >.>
Then playing with it, lots and lots of playing with it.
I snapped the rubberband. Yeeks! Thankfully I had another one lying around and it is holding up. Of course I’m also being more careful. >.>
Can’t you tell she loves it? They had other kits there as well as far as little wooden creating sets go. Lisi got one for each of her siblings. A car for Var, Plane for Kat, and a Pirate Ship for Sis!
None of the above have finished theirs just yet, but they’ve only been home for a day after all. What a day that’s been too. Yeesh, I hardly slept last night/this morning and I’ve been a bit jaerj rjar dfjprerjrra aka dead in the brain.
I did get time to sit around and sip coffee with Kat, then later in the evening the two of us sat here at the computer and watched one of our favorite shows via Netflix. She’s gotten far more affectionate since she was gone, so I’ve been the recipient of a great many hugs. <3 I love it!
I want to get us something water related for the back yard. A pool or at least a slip and slide really. The weather can’t decide if it wants to be cold, miserable and rainy. Or hot. I can’t decide if I want to go outside and try and enjoy some sun, or sleep. Then again after the other night, I just wanted to curl up in a ball and sleep for years.
Not much else to report right now, then again it’s past midnight, so my brain is a bit more “buh?”
In other news, I made a blog just for Squee, the mouse. http://adventuresofsquee.blogspot.com
I have no idea what is up with the text in the most recent post. Really, I don’t get it! Thanks blogger for not being clear enough to figure that out at midnight. I’ll… probably just rewrite the entire thing later or something. Blergh!
Enough for me! Have a great night all!
Ja matta ne!
